This past weekend, 98 juniors traveled to Buffalo, New York, to participate in the season’s fourth Junior Gold. The Buffalo T & S Junior Championships, hosted by the Buffalo Tennis & Squash Club, the Nichols School, and the Saturn club, saw 69 boys compete across BU19, BU17, and BU15 age divisions and 29 girls compete across GU19 and GU17 age divisions.
Sean Grady won the BU19 six-player round-robin with his victory against Kenan Ong in three games, 11-3, 11-5, 11-2.
The GU19 six-player round-robin was won by Tatyanna Dadabbo after a tight four-game match against Emily Sherwood, 11-8, 12-10, 10-12. 11-2.
Top seed John Fitzgerald defeated two seed Christopher Dalglish in a three-game final to win the BU17 division, 11-4, 11-7, 11-5.
One seed Lauren Leizman took home the GU17 title after topping Emily Woodward in three games, 11-5, 11-5, 11-3.
Two seed and winner of September’s Squash Revolution DC Gold BU15 division, Burke Giordano, beat Nicholas Robinson in the BU15 final to pick up his second Gold victory of the season, 11-0, 11-3, 11-2. Robinson upset top seed Aditya Kankariya in a three-game semifinal, 11-8, 11-7, 11-6.

Gold tournaments feature the highest level of junior competition below Junior Championships Tour events and are restricted to the top 32 ranked entrants in each age division.
