As tradition goes, the BSRA Shamrock Tournament returned for its 31st year, bringing another unforgettable weekend of spirited competition, great company and plenty of St. Patrick’s cheer.
Players competed across singles squash, doubles squash and paddle tennis, continuing what has become one of the Buffalo racquet sports community’s favorite annual traditions. From close matches to lively conversations off the court, the tournament once again delivered a weekend that balanced competition with camaraderie.
This year featured an impressive field of 40 competitors, all battling for prizes and, perhaps most importantly, year-long bragging rights.

Champions
- Doubles Champions: Cara DeRose and Sarah Denman
- Singles Champions: Team Knappogue — Johan Kjorven, Joe Smrcka and Chris Saeli
- Paddle Champion: Bob Denman
The weekend would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of organizers Alexa Buzak and Chris Saeli, who continue to make this event a success year after year.
We are also incredibly grateful to our generous sponsors for helping make the tournament possible: Richard Lynn and Lynn Critical Infrastructure, the BSRA, John Cleary, Sally Russell, the Denman family and the VanOss family.
Another fantastic weekend of exciting matches, festive celebrations and memorable moments is officially in the books. We are already looking forward to doing it all again next year.
