SUMMARY:2026 BSRA Jocoy/Lynn Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\nSince 2009\, the BSRA has opened the season by honoring one of Buffalo’s most dedicated players\, Ed Jocoy—four-time City A Champion\, nationally ranked Veteran’s Division competitor\, and longtime BSRA Board member and two-time President. His passion for the game and service to our squash community inspired the original naming of this tournament. \nIn 2024\, we added the name of Richard Lynn—long-time player\, supporter\, and generous contributor to Buffalo squash. Together\, they represent the spirit and camaraderie that make this community special. Let’s celebrate the kickoff to the squash season with this great tournament. \nRegistration is now OPEN! There are limited spots in this tournament\, so don’t delay. \nRegister on Eventbrite > \nDetails\nDate: Saturday\, October 24\, 2026 \nTime: Squash play: 11am-4pm / After party: 4-7pm \nVenues: Buffalo T&S\, Buffalo Club and the Saturn Club \nDeadline to register: Thursday\, October 15 \n*Registrants must be a paying member of US Squash.  \nFormat & Draws\nTargeting 16 doubles players and 15 singles players. \nThe competition committee will create balanced draws for fair\, exciting play. \nDoubles players will be assigned a partner — please indicate your preferred wall. \nSingles players will be divided into three teams for round-robin matches. \nCelebration\nAfter play wraps up\, join us at Cole’s on Elmwood for the post-tournament celebration. We’ll hand out a little hardware\, raise a glass\, and share stories from the day. \nEntry & Perks\nEntry fee: $32 \nIncludes tournament play\, after-party pass\, and a commemorative t-shirt. \nGuests are welcome at the party for $15 each.
