Peter DeRose Wins National Doubles Title

Congratulations to Peter DeRose for winning another US Squash Doubles Championship in the 65+ bracket.

Peter reached the finals without dropping a game, a testament to six months of dedicated cardio, lifting, and disciplined nutrition to reach tournament-ready shape. Peter and his partner, Peter Monaghan, prepared for the Nationals in Rye, NY, by winning the T&S Invitational 65+ draw and reaching the semifinals of the William White Tournament in Philadelphia. While Peter DeRose is known for his aggressive style and accurate shooting, his partner balanced the team with exceptional defense and movement.

At the Nationals, they secured 3-0 victories against Brendan and Bryan O’Rourke in the first round and James Meet and Emmett McGee in the semifinals. Despite the pressure of facing the No. 1 seed in the finals and trailing 1-2 in games, DeRose and Monaghan fought back to win the championship 15-13 in the fifth game.
