30 Years of Competition and Celebration: The BSRA Shamrock Tournament Recap

This past weekend, the BSRA Shamrock Tournament marked an incredible milestone—30 years of spirited play, friendly competition, and St. Patrick’s Day tradition. Thanks to the vision of John Cleary, Bill Cleary, and Nelson Montgomery, what started as a way for squash players to come together has grown into a beloved annual event.

This year’s tournament saw 44 players across three categories: 12 singles, 8 paddle, and 24 doubles. The competition was fierce, but in the end, our champions emerged:

🏆 Doubles Champions: Brian Conley & Duane Warren
🏆 Singles Champions (Team Tullamore): Hamilton McGrath, Danielle Larrabee, Chris Saeli & Zach Bliss
🏆 Paddle Champion: Tom Maynor

A huge thank you to our dedicated organizers—Alexa Buzak, Chase Martin, John Cleary, and Chris Saeli—who made this event run smoothly. Many, many thanks to our photographer, Alan Jay, for capturing some amazing moments throughout the tournament and into the evening festivities. We also want to extend our gratitude to our generous sponsors: Richard Lynn & Lynn Critical Infrastructure, the BSRA, John Cleary, Chris Saeli, Sally Russell, Brian Shepard & Forest Automotive, and Tim VanOss & Capstone Engineering.

Here’s to another year of great matches, sportsmanship, and the best St. Patrick’s weekend tradition around! See you all next year!
