716 Squash Hosts US Squash Junior Silver Tournament Over Thanksgiving Weekend

716 Squash welcomed junior players from across the region over Thanksgiving weekend as it hosted a US Squash Junior Silver tournament featuring Boys Under 15 (BU15) and Boys Under 17 (BU17) draws.

The event drew competitors from Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Rochester, and Ontario, bringing strong regional talent to Buffalo for a weekend of high-level junior squash. Out-of-town players Max Hayden and Eric Hsu captured the BU15 and BU17 titles, respectively, after competitive runs through their draws.

Local players also made a strong showing. 716 Squash eighth grader Day Light earned a third-place finish in the BU15 draw, while Canisius High School sophomore Jack Richards finished third in the BU17 division. Additional Buffalo-area competitors included 716 Squash ninth grader Nang Deih Lian and eighth grader Ryan Mang, both gaining valuable tournament experience against a deep field.

The BSRA congratulates all players on their performances and thanks 716 Squash for hosting a well-run Junior Silver event. We look forward to the opportunity to bring more US Squash tournaments to Buffalo in the future and continue growing competitive junior squash in our region.
