Buffalo Junior Squash Player Cordelia Hsu Represents Taiwan on the World Stage

Cordelia (Delia) Hsu is a committed junior squash player from the Buffalo region who competes in national tournaments throughout the United States and has recently begun making her mark on the international circuit. Holding dual citizenship in the United States and Taiwan, she frequently visits Taiwan and was selected for both the Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) Adult and Junior National teams in 2025. Over the past year, Delia made her debut with the national team, representing Taiwan at the Asian Squash Doubles Championships in Malaysia and Asian Junior Individual Championships in Korea.

Over a recent holiday break, she returned to Taiwan to compete in a local tournament and was once again invited to try out for Taiwan’s junior and adult national teams. After intense competition, she captured the tournament championship. She also once again earned the top position on Taiwan’s girls’ junior national team and secured the fourth spot on the adult women’s national team. She now has the honor of representing Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) at the 2026 World Junior Squash Championships this summer in Ontario, Canada, as well as the 2026 World Squash Team Championships in Korea.

She is sincerely grateful to Imran Khan for his guidance since the very start of her squash journey and for helping her reach her goals. She also extends her appreciation to Coach Steve Bell, who believed in her potential early on by selecting her for the Nichols varsity team in seventh grade, as well as to the many coaches, assistants, and squash community whose support and dedication have been instrumental in her growth and success.
